The Sad Truth About Fairy Tail Semi-Cannon Couples

Warning: May contain spoilers! Spoilers are bold and italicized. 

Jerza (Jellal x Erza)- From what I can see, Jerza is just a big misunderstanding. They misunderstood each other, and leading to the wrong conclusion. But based from Chapter 345 of the Manga, Erza turned into a little girl. Jellal appeared in her imagination. Jellal said: "Sorry, I am not interested in little girls", which made Erza disappointed and desperate. Which I conclude that, Erza took a liking towards Jellal from the beginning. Jellal on the other hand, returned her feelings, but only to himself.

NaLu (Natsu x Lucy) - If you observe carefully, Lucy REALLY has feelings for Natsu from the start, only that Natsu is dense. As the series progresses, Natsu gave hints of affection and liking to her, but Lucy took it the wrong way because Natsu would never say such things, mainly due to the fact that he is dense. But it's not a one-sided love the fans are dealing with. I would say that it would soon progress. My advance congratulations to both of them, if Nashi would be born. 

Gruvia (Gray x Juvia) - This semi-cannon is under one-sided love. Juvia obviously showed a lot of liking towards Gray, and declared Lucy as her 'love-rival'. Gray however, did not return those feelings. He would often understand it as signs of friendship. When Lyon would try to claim her in an affectionate form, Gray would always be there to take her back only as a sign of protecting his friends, which to, Juvia misunderstood as Gray claiming feelings.

GaLe (Gajeel x Levy) - The situation GaLe holds is the same as Natsu and Lucy's, except for the fact that Gajeel would misinterpret things, when he really liked Levy himself! Levy gave signs of affection as well, but Gajeel isn't as dense as Natsu, yet he understood Levy's feelings as signs of friendship. 

ElfGreen (Elfman x Evergreen) - This ship actually amuses me. When Elfman would show his affections towards Evergeen, the said girl would ignore him. Although in the inside, from what I think, they really like each other. They just needed to confess to each other. But what comes in between their mind is what the guild would think. More importantly, how Evergreen would look.

Cappy (Carla x Happy) - When Carla's debut happened, Happy immediately fell in love. Thus offering her good fish. Carla, however, would be cold and stiff to Happy. In Edolas Arc, Carla had been acting a lot different. Happy tried helping her, but would still result as a one-sided love. However, after the Arc, Carla tried appreciating Happy as a good guy.

LoRies (Loke x Aries) - This semi-cannon started giving clues during the Loke Arc, where Loke or Leo would defend Aries from Karen, their previous owner. In the Oracion Seis Arc, Angel used Aries to bring Lucy down. Angel also ordered the two to battle, which they did. However, the battle resulted as to they loosing to one of Angel's spirits. Before the two faded or return to the spirit world, Loke outstretched his hand to save Aries, and so did she. Yet their romantic attempt failed. Not much more is revealed afterwards, because Leo actually likes Lucy and other girls.

NaLi (Natsu x Lisanna) - This is a cute semi-cannon pairings. The story started since they were kids until Lisanna came back from the 'dead'. In the flashback, Lisanna asked if she could be Natsu's wife and then more fluffy scenes followed. In the Grand Magic Games, on the Wedding Theme Dress-Up Contest, Lisanna tried asking Natsu once more and made him remember their talk when they were still young. From what I see, Lisanna likes Natsu from the start. Only that he got dense when Lisanna disappeared.
